The Barge Inn, Battlesbridge

Very overpriced for average food. You get the feeling the new owners are trying to turn a lovely old Essex country pub into a 5 star restaurant. Will not be going back!

The Coach and Horses, Oswaldtwistle

Only recently discovered the fine watering hole. Good beer and mouth watering home cooked food, servered by very frienly staff. Will be back for more.

The Stop and Rest Inn, Oswaldtwistle

A very friendy pub with good beer and good food. The landlord and landlady always make you feel welcome. Also, some good acts on most Friday evenings.
