No beer on pumps but they do do spitfire in bottles (kept in the fridge but they will lift one out for later if asked). Not sure about calling it a 'lesbo pub' as they welcome us boys too... probably not an old mans sort of booza tho. What's important is it's got punters and the front door opens :) goodhead - 2 Oct 2013 18:28 |
LESBIAN ONLY PUB THERE SHOULD BE SIGNS OUTSIDE MAKING IT CLEAR THAT MEN ARE NOT WELCOME RATHER THAN GET RUDE SERVICE AND FILTHY LOOKS FROM OLD LOOKING WOMEN WEARING ILL FITTING 90'S TRACKSUITS. R.Pomphrey - 19 Nov 2012 14:42 |
I agree with the previous comment about the smokey atmosphere. Staff weren't that friendly and the loo's were in need of a good clean and some soap. Water was also scalding in the loo upstairs! FuzzyKipper - 30 May 2006 20:23 |
Not all that really. The beer ok but pub got a bit too smokey and was very clicky. I'd been there about a year ago and wasn't that impressed, and unfortunately not much has improved, looking a bit tatty and the tables could do with a wash. Lamb - 12 May 2006 20:45 |
Very strange place. From the outside it looks like a roadside diner, and inside it feels more like someone's living room than a pub or bar. Obviously has a lot of regular customers. Still, it was very clean and obviously had fairly new furniture, with pleasant bar staff and decent beer, and whilst it was fairly quiet when we went mid-week (about 10 people) you got the impression that it gets quite a bit busier over the weekend. Worth a visit, although I suspect most people will either love it or hate it. anonymous - 26 Sep 2005 14:41 |
