Recently refurbished and extended with their strapline being "Cask and Curry", we visited yesterday just before 7pm to finally give the legendary menu a try. And, as others have said, the food was superb! There were only two real ales available in the back bar (Fuller's Southern Star and I think it was Doom Bar) but the beer wasn't that important so I tried the keg Maltsmiths IPA instead. Definitely worth visiting. paul_d102 - 29 Apr 2018 22:38 |
If your after a fantastic nosh from this place make sure you book a table - it`s popularity has soared to the point where if you don`t book...you don`t eat! Blastbeat - 9 Dec 2015 10:53 |
The mixed grill I had in there last night was superb. You have to go and try it and I will be going back there very soon. tonyjoyner - 9 Jul 2015 13:42 |
Popped in early doors wiv a mate to sample the large mixed grill starter....It nearly killed us! The friendly smirking barperson accepted our cash and told us it wouldn`t be long, 15 minutes later a huge mountain of steaming starters duly arrived..."Not many try it, not many finish it!" It was a struggle but we persevered, that was food sorted for two days! Superb indeed, we shall return but just for the balti next time! Must visit. Blastbeat - 10 Jan 2014 14:05 |
Looks a bit of a dive from the outside, and is on the border of civilisation (city centre) and dodgy innercity area, but inside is ok. Pool and 2 big tellys showing football, acceptable beer though nothing on draught for real ale bores. Has an exclusively injun menu, reasonably priced, massive portions, and those eatng seemed happy with their grub. son_of_odin - 12 Dec 2013 13:09 |
