Lovely pub in a lovely village in a lovely part of Devon.

However what was not lovely was the ignorant lazy couldn't care less bar staff.

Was expecting better glad we didn't aim to eat here.

5/10 for the pub and area

Stumbled across the Globe while looking for a lunch stop during a walk on the SW coast path with 6 friends. We all thought it was great. Looks a bit in need of attention from the outside but the inside is charming and surprisingly big. Food was great, staff very hospitable, and beer spot on. As we were about to leave for the 3 mile trek back to Ilfracombe, the heavens opened so we just had to stay for another pint and a game of darts (shucks!) while the very nice lady behind the bar ordered a taxi for us. I'd recommed this pub to anyone who appreciates all that's best in a traditional English pub.

used this pub many times on 2 visits to berrynarbor and it was brilliant. Very good for children especially the soft play area that keeps them busy and away from those who don't want to be surrounded by children! Food of good quality although thought the 2009 menu was better than 2010's. Some nice beers but could do with a few more ales

Always a warm welcome from staff and a very obliging landlord.Exmoor ale always spot on and a good range of guest beers that changes regularly. Good value and frehly cooked food enjoyed by our party of four on a quiet October evening. Now open all day in the summer months.

We popped in for a few on New Years Eve, too early to catch them being busy. Have to say, it seemed to be a lovely little pub. Very warm and hospitable, with a lovely pint of Exmoor. I'd come back to Berrynarbor just to spend longer in this pub!

The rooms are incredible, full of all sorts of quirkiness and finery. The beer was decent but I was caught out by the 3 p.m. afternoon closing before I could really plough through their range.
