A lovely pub set in a quite grand building in among rows of terraced houses. Now part of the Steamin' Billy chain, the pub features a bar and lounge, whilst also boasting a quite large garden (not apparent at first glance). Usually has the Billy staples (Billy, Skydiver and Tipsy fisherman) as well as guests. Again, as with most Billy pubs in this area Charnwood Brewery beers Salvation and Vixen are usual guests. Backyard Brew Shed Head chilled IPA also a nice addition. The Paget also serves simple food, including a great range of burgers. When I have visited it has usually been on a Saturday afternoon, and pub has been pretty busy, but maybe not as much as my usual Billy pub The Horse and Trumpet @ Sileby... Both Recommended...

This pub is now part of the Steamin Billy chain of pubs around Leicestershire and is a fine addition to the Loughborough ale scene.

Visited last week on a Friday teatime and found it busy and vibrant with a good mix of different types, a very knowledgeable man behind the bar, and above all a good selection of quality ales.

Nice looking covered garden out the back and a few comfortable sofas about the place. Highly recommended.

There is no longer a pool table, but there are darts, table football, fruit machine, itbox and BOARD GAMES!

Friendly & welcoming to locals & students...a good interface where the two populations of Loughborough meet!
5/6 real ales on tap, though not as much of variety for wine-drinkers.
Good place to take your pooch to end the day's walk with a beer :)

I had heard a lot about the Paget, and was looking forward to my visit. I tried to enjoy the beer, but the condition was distinctly average. I like my paler ales, which was good as this was all they had on my visit. The person I went with likes more traditional beers, of which they had none. I feel a good real ale pub should have a range of beers, so I'm in no rush to return. The staff didn't seem to know much about the beer aside from that they sold a lot of Sunchaser to students.

The place itself seems quite nice, a little shabby perhaps. I imagine it is pleasant in summertime with the outdoor space with Games machines.

As above, it's located in the golden triangle for students. I'm fine with there being lots of students but from my experience this shouldn't mean below par beer.

Spot on Boozer. Great range of ales, very friendly, good atmosphere, lovely barstaff, good banter, a great place to spend the afternoon/evening.

We spent best part of 5 hours there but could easily have managed an alldayer.

Great Pub and great Atmosphere right in the heart of the Golden Triangle for students. Beer Garden, Pool Table and a Dartboard. also has several big screen TVs to watch sport on, Hopefully England winning more cricket.
