The Albany, Thames Ditton

Food: Great. Service: One of the worst.

My family went there for a lunch during the weekend but since there wasn't a table available to us we had to sit outside by the river in the freezing weather which I didn't mind too much since we arrived late. After ordering our food we waited about 40 minutes only to realise the table next to us, who ordered much later than us, were served the exact same meals we ordered. When we asked the waitress about our food she said it was on its way..sure. After about 10minutes later our food arrived but not all of it. It seemed that they forgot that when we ordered Fish & Chips that we actually wanted chips as well. But then when I looked over at the table next to us their chips was on a separate bowl so I decided to wait few minutes hoping it was on its way..but NO. When we asked the waitress about the where abouts of our food she replied that it's not part of her job, she's only suppose to get the orders down and serving food was some one else's job..after making her excuese she finally said apologised. Soon after our chips arrived. Food was undoubtfully lovely but service? Really? Was there any service going on? In total we waited more than an hour for all of our meals! Oh plus it turned out that the table next to us ordered same food as except we wanted well done grilled steak but we were served medium...so it was delay, nasty service + confusion of orders. When the waitress asked if wanted any dessert.....we had ask for the bill instead cos we simply couldn't stick around for another 40 minutes.

The albany simply was one of the worst restaurant I have ever been.
