The Olde Ferrie Inne, Symonds Yat West

We had a great time here, including an overnight stay in the bunk house. Jamie and the gang looked after us very well. The food is above average, I can recomend the YOFI burger, and the deserts are pretty good too. Try making it across the ferry rope for free beer. Pool table tucked away in it's own room, costs 50p a game. Beer is nicely conditioned, and local: Wye Valley HPA and Butty Bach. Lager is Peroni, Vier, and 'Paul Weller'. View is stunning, I can't fault this place. Mark

The Fountain, Twickenham

Much better now. I'm almost certain this is down to new managment (tallchap), than just the new decor. Good facilities, nice garden out back (not award winning, but clean and green). Kid friendly, my one year old loves the tomato pasta, whilst I like the t-bone. Frankly this gives The Grill Room in Twickenham a run for it's money in steak terms. can;t remeber what the bitter offering was but the lager I was drinking was ok.
