Went to this pub Saturday for a meal on the recommendation of someone. Unremarkable looking pub with street parking. not the sort of place you would stop off at 'on the off chance' looking for a meal. anyway the food was pretty good. The chef is Turkish and there is turkish influence on the menu. We had a drink each, a starter, a main course and 2 coffees and the bill was 34. Large portions too. I would certainly go back, but only for a meal NOT for a drink !

Puckersley Inn, Royton
Went for a meal for the first time this weekend after partner went here for a drink in the week.
Pub was VERY quiet for a Saturday night and the restaurant part was empty.
Good:
Good choice of food
Excellent standard of food. 3 different veg on the plate, all freshly steam. Chips piping hot.
Good-sized portions
Bad:
Service VERY slow, although at the start we were the only ones in the restaurant. So goodness knows what it would be like if it was busy.
Waitress didn't seem to listen to what we were saying. (partner who went for drink in week had her serve him and said she didn't listen then and got the order wrong)
Ordered a main course and it took ages for them to come out and say they had run out
Overall:
Yes I would definately go again as you couldn't fault the food, although I would have trepidations about being there if / when it got busy
