The Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge

This was one of my highlights on the second part of the coast to coast walk my partner volunteered me for in august 2007. It was a very welcome sight after 20 miles and had a good range of beers though I stuck to theakston's Grouse beater which tastes far better on tap than in the bottle in my opinion. The food was good and plentiful and the atmosphere cosy. Well worth a visit! I imagine it would be excellent at christmas!
