The Trinity Arms, Brixton

My first post on this site, despite having used its recommendations to dodge dives for many years (so apologies if it goes on some).
I went into Brixton last weekend to see a band and as this was the only pub in the area that we could locate serving proper beer we came here first before going onto the venue (Hootenanny).
Great location, on the corner of a London Square, it could be mistaken for a well known East End soap set. The inside was well looked after and clean, the Bar staff were fantastic, and the Beer was great. We only intended to have a quick few, but after trying the food which was great, we decided not to bother with the support band and stayed for four pints. The London Gold was especially good. Even the locals were chatty, but that could have been down to the fact that there was a rugby match on (volume down low) and there was lots of interest. The pub had a great mix of students and regulars, there were no seats when we first got there but after quarter of an hour we got a seat and it was a bit of a wrench to leave. Roll on the next gig in Brixton I say! :-)
