just had a meal at the windmill first impressions of the pub is that the outside and gardens are very well kept with a play area for the children inside although the decor may seem a bit dated it was very clean and tidy the staff were very friendly polite and helpful food was ordered from both the standard menu and the chefs specials board as well as the chef cooking something for the children the wait for the food wasn't long and when it arrived it looked as good as it sounded on the menu and tasted even better the restaurant serves traditional food such as shepherds pie and cod and chips as well as more adventurous dishes such as the wild rabbit pie which i opted for it tasted superb i would definitely recommend the windmill to friends and family it cost 62 for four adults and two kids to have two courses it would well be worth the drive from london again i cannot understand why they never had people queuing out the door to eat here
