The Prince of Wales, Holland Park

I work on Portland Road, just by the POW and would love to support it as my local pub, but the service is simply appalling. I�ve been in on and off since it was re-opened, the d�cor is cool and the outside space is great for a drink in the summer.

The place is let down by grumpy staff and service so slow and terrible service. Every time I go in I hope they will have improved, but they never do. At my last visit (Friday 12 Jan) I was told by the miserable bar staff that �the chef was in a bad mood� I should expect to wait for food. Not a great start. I asked if we might be able to have some bread while we waited, response: �No you can�t. I am not allowed to do food and I am not asking the chef.� So we waited. 40 mins later the food arrived. No apology, no offering of a free drink or bar snacks nothing. Why I ever bother thinking this pub will change is beyond me. Don�t waste your effort go somewhere else.

NB: I am astonished by the 17 July review below. Looks like an advertising job to me!
