The Rambler Country House, Edale

We stayed at The Rambler Inn as a group of 14. Having stayed there a few years ago, we were quite looking forward to our w/end. How times can change when different owners take over! I only wish we had read some of the previous reviews before booking. The place seems to be run by a group of college leavers for themselves. Our rooms weren't serviced over the w/end even though they charge �90 for B&B. The bar was closed promptly at 11pm. However, the staff contuned to drink & party till 3am at the rear of the building!! Even after complaining at the time the party never stopped. No wonder breakfast wasn't served until after 8.30am. I expect the staff were sleeping off hangovers! Don't be mislead by their website as it was built by the previous owners. Such a shame the wrong people get into the hospitality industry.
