King's Arms, Chelsea

Now re-opened under its original name, The Kings Arms. Finches no more. I heard more than one person referring to it as such though.

Was there on Saturday before the Arsenal match. Opened by 10am for bacon butties. 4 ales on offer, Sharps, Purity, Bombardier & Sambrooks. Purity in excellent shape. Large selection of lagers too.

Place has been slightly gentrified, but then so have the Chelsea footie fans.

All in all a big improvement.

Latymers, Hammersmith

For those of you who don't know this pub used to be the Red Cow. Locals closed it down in the late seventies. Re-opened as Latymers much later.

Pub is clean & pleasant, beer is fine, as is the food. But the Red Cow is so sadly missed. First pint of Fullers I ever had.

The Crown and Sceptre, Shepherds Bush

Dear Mr Fuller. Why so close to the brewery, do I have to drink lukewarm ESB out of a bottle. Fix the fridge, stock it earlier OR perish the thought, put it back on the handpull.

Such a shame!
