The Old Castle, Bridgnorth

I have just visited this rightfully busy pub with friends. The food was straightforward, filling, tasty and reasonably priced. I tried a beer I'd never heard of and enjoyed it. But what stood out was the attitude of the staff. The servers, both behind the bar and at the tables were as cheerful and attentive as you could want. While I was much delayed parking my wife was getting frantic trying to phone me but her mobile was dead. The landlord noticed and without being asked for help kindly put her phone on charge behind the bar and lent her his to make the call. Then when we were getting ready to leave he brought her phone back to her. I forgot my raincoat and he noticed and chased me out with it. Such a kind and helpful attitude from a busy person is rare indeed.
