The White Lion Inn, Thakeham

We are visiting the White Lion on a regular basis, great walk from where we live to the pub, and is our most favourite pub. The coffe is good, the beer is good and of course the staff are all great. The shame about this pub is: with the cold season they start their logfires. Then it gets really smokey inside. The Law has banned smokers from public areas but allows disfunctional logfires to fill the rooms with toxic fumes! The smoke gets into clothes and more importantely into the lungs. In this pub, sadly, the smoke is worse than 20 smokers would light their cigarettes all at once and this pub has small rooms.
