The Rambler Country House, Edale

Quite possibly the worst pub I have ever visited. Great location spoilt by a manageress with no concept of customer service and a vague understanding of licensing law. Pub has unfortunate staff presumably facing a daily hell from upset customers being served terrible, over priced food and suffering petty profit focused customer service. Manageress was happy to accept multiple drinks orders and a meal order for 9 people but wanted to charge for tap water. How pathetic is that? She also refused to tell us her name (a requirement of the licensing act) and even took away a piece of paper with her christian name only on it before lecturing about the Licensing Act. Sadly for the wannabe stealth landlady, High Peak Authority has the personal licence holder as Julieanne Mckenzie. Pub is owned by Dorbiere Ltd. Avoid at all costs!
