The Crown, Harmondsworth

Have popped in here a couple of times. Atmosphere sadly lacking. One gets the feeling that ones purpose is to sit quietly in the corner and not to disturb/interact with anything or anybody.

The White Horse, Longford

Used to use this pub on a regular basis when flying to/from Heathrow. Started off as a good friendly pub with a good mix of locals and people passing through. Now it feels as if it has sold its soul in chasing the big bucks from those of us passing through. Worth looking round for other pubs near the airport

Five Bells, Harmondsworth

Have used this pub for a few years now when travelling through Heathrow, as a proper pub it beats the hell out of an airport hotel bar. There has been a steady decline in the food, beer and material state over the last year or so. However there was never a decline in the friendliness and hospitality of the locals and the staff. A new landlord has just taken over and things are looking on the up again. The beer is definitely back up to scratch again and the place has had a good clean. They are planning to totally refit the kitchen so hopefully that will be the food on the up as well.
