With food as bad as this it could never be described as a gastropub.

Probably one of the smokiest pubs in London

Staff are pretty grumpy and inefficient as well.

(Apart from that its great!!)

The Old Fountain, Old Street

Great pub, really friendly staff and very good lagers. Shame that the food is of the old fashioned english pub variety, however the hot salt beef sandwich isn't bad.

The Bavarian Beerhouse, Shoreditch

Very expensive beer but the foods alright.

Do you get the feeling Vin Rouge might be the owner?
