The Weighbridge, Alvechurch

We have visited this quaint canal side pub on several occasions, and i have to say it is one of the nicest pubs i've been to. It has 3 really cosy rooms full of interesting nick-nacks & memorabilia, we notice something new each time we visit! The real ale is 5 stars according to my husband (who is quite fussy), and he was given all the information he needed on each beer from the landlord. we decided to have sunday lunch on our last visit which i have to say was fantastic, we counted a total of 9 fresh vegetables on our dinner, and it was really fresh and tasty, a good sign of a true home cooked meal. The staff were very friendly, both from the bar & kitchen, and even struck up conversation with us which you do not get in most pubs. I also like this place as you do not feel rushed out as i find in other pubs when they want a quick turn over. So all in all i recommend you give it a try!!
