The White Lion, Hampton in Arden

Drink the beer but avoid the food. I have been coming to this pub for a couple of years. Food always been excellent until 2011. First night I had Scottish steak and chips. The steak was tasteless and the home made chips were limp, poorly cooked and not very appetising. I returned to the pub a week later, thought I give it another go and ordered the fish and chips. This was a mistake as I had forgotten how poor the chips were. The battered fish was dreadful. It tasted as if it had a cold and as if it had been left out to dry after it had been washed ina washing machine. It was quite simple disgusting. The pub itself is lovely, the beer great but they got to change the chef immediately or at least get some one in who can cook.
