The Kings Head, Ravenstonedale will re-open on Monday 11th July 2011 after being closed for nearly 3 years and after a complete refurbishment.
The new management team will be led by Bev Tunstall (manager) and Gary Fothergill (head chef).
Following a pre-opening reception for those involved in refurbishing the pub on Friday 8th July Sue Richardson posted the following review on the Kings Head Facebook page.
"A very big thank you to Ann and Chris, Bev and Gary and all the staff at the King's Head for such a wonderful evening. The pub and the letting bedrooms looked stunning and are a tribute to all your efforts and the work of our excellent team at Lanquest Properties Ltd. We wish you every success on Monday night and for the future."

Kings Head Hotel, Ravenstonedale
On June 16th 2011 Chris Metcalfe-Gibson, owner of the Kings Head, received the keys to the pub from Chris Richardson, managing director of Lanquest Properties Ltd.
This marked the completion of the rebuilding phase and the pub is now being supplied with fixtures and fittings.
The pub will confirm an opening day shortly, currently planned to be sometime in July 2011.

The King's Head re-opened on July 11th 2011 after being closed for nearly three years and following a complete refurbishment that involved a complete gutting of the interior.
The pub now has a Facebook page on which customers are beginning to register their comments.
Postings include:
"had a meal at the head last night great food recommend the chocolate creme brulee with shortbread fingers !!!!!"
"Vision, creativity, imagination, dogged determination and good old-fashioned hard graft have resulted in the opening of an establishment that would enhance any county in the UK - so very, very pleased for all concerned. Let's hope the 'word on the street' goes viral and you're soon turning folk away!"
