The George, Hayes

I find it amusing to read how ScoutChappie (see post below) feels in a position to post a review when he only "called in" and didn't even stay for a drink at The George. We have now eaten there twice and find the atmosphere warm and friendly. The food is of exceptional quality and my husband was delighted to see Doombar on the handpump along with other ales. I am a local resident and work at a local school ie. I am not employed by The George but will certainly be a regular visitor in the future.

Called in last Sunday for quick drink. Ended up staying for lunch! Such a lovely relaxed atmosphere with very friendly and cheerful staff. Food was amazing - freshly cooked to order, delicious and beautifully presented. Customers were of all ages - families/couples and single people just relaxing and enjoying the ambience. Easy just to go for a drink or coffee with friends without the need to have a meal - plenty of areas to sit. If you want cheap mass produced food - then this really isn't the place for you. Have booked for dinner Saturday night - can't wait.
