The Pub has shut due to bad publicity because of the beer watering and spirit swapping court case. You can still use the car park to enjoy the view!

The Three Bishops, Brighstone

I have visited the Three Bishops on a number of occasions and to be very honest it is slipping in quality.

The landlord is approachable but is not exactly friendly. The landlady is invisible. You can actually hear her shouting at the kids from upstairs or having a fag with the cooks out the back but she is never in the bar.

The beer used to be excellent but two real ales I have had there recently were below par. The sparkly bar staff who were such an asset now seem to spend more time chatting to each other.

The food is a problem. It used to be of high quality but now the veg tastes microwaved and the meat is of cheaper cuts.

It would not take a lot of effort to put this potentially great pub back to a high standard but sadly the effort is not forthcoming.
