The Coach and Horses, Rotherwick

Potential disaster. Visited recently to hear that the landlord is on the move and they are expecting a stand-in manager. Doesn't sound like the brewery have a lot of interest in the place; let's hope they leave it alone in that case. I always fear an enthusiastic 'refurbishment' which will destroy this wonderful place.

The Seven Stars, Bristol

My GF & I were visiting Bristol for the weekend & stumbled across this little place down a side-street. It has recently been taken over & the new owner & manager were in there when we called one lunchtime. We were welcomed as long lost friends & they even got tickets for us for a gig that night at the pub next door! The place needs some work & has a neglected feel but it could turn out to be a real gem. Best of luck to the new owners - give it a go if you're in that part of town.
