The Stag, Hastings
Lovely old pub, log fires, green men, mummified cats and all. Very warm welcome to us non-locals, and very helpful with guiding us through the selection of Shepherd Neame beers.
Food was just what was needed. No airs and graces, just generous portions of decent simply cooked lamb and cod.
Would definitely return and would recommend a visit.
