The Shepherd and Dog, Fulking

My wife and I went to this pub on a mid week evening a couple of weeks ago and enjoyed a very nice meal in the cosy old beamed part of the bar area. The steak I ordered was well cooked and a good quality, and the wine accompanying it was tasty and reasonably priced. My wife had one of the fish specials and enjoyed it very much.
Recently the pub has seen some changes to it's service and approach with customers that have moved it up a notch in my opinion. The barstaff and waitresses were all friendly and helpful, providing a warm greeting to match the surroundings.
If you are looking for a nice pub with beautiful surroundings, this is a good bet.
