The Tite Inn, Chadlington

Rented a cottage in the village in August & was looking forward to visiting this pub. Arrived on the saturday night to find it 'closed until further notice'. We asked around in the village & it had been like that since early June. Signs that the recession is biting at Mr Cameron's own back door.

Globe, Liverpool

On a day trip from Sunderland, we couldn't have started in a better bar. Full to bursting at 3.00p.m. but served within seconds. An excellent pint of Cains & very friendly locals. Really enjoyed watching the octogenarian glass collector, who insisted on calling my 51 year old mate 'lad', at work.
