Belvedere, Liverpool

I recently did the excellent Georgian Quarter crawl on a trip over from Manchester.We added one or two more just outside of The Quarter and of the 10 pubs we visited I have to say The Belvedere came out tops. A lovely pint of Liverpool Organic, interesting clientele, helpful and informed barman and generally a lovely cosy feeling to the place. It was only our 3rd pub on the crawl after Peter Kavanaghs and The Caledonian and it took a lot of will power to drag myself away from the place.Can't wait to drag a few more sceptical Mancs over to show them the delights of Liverpool and specifically The Belvedere.

The Dutton Hotel, Manchester

Having recently ticked off every pub (not bar) in the city centre and surrounding area with a pal of mine. I must recommend The Dutton for character, friendliness and not least a decent pint. Yes, there are better pubs in Manchester like the Marble and Thom's but the Dutton as crept on to our 'best of' list by the characters in the place and the welcome we get from them every time we go back.It's also within running distance for the last train from Victoria. A classic local boozer in the city centre and there aren't many of them! Give it a try before it's too late.
