The Fox and Hounds, Theale

Used to be a great pub with good food, beer and friendly staff but sadly changed now.

Went for a meal with 3 other people on a Tuesday night.

Food was very bad, lasagne was so hard you could not get a fork in it. Waitress said she would replace it, came back and said it would be 5 minutes but it did not arrive for nearly 20 minutes.

Also ordered a chilli enchilada, this was only just warm.

Steak and ale pie had minimal filling in the dish was so over cooked that the meat was hard but the pastry was pale.

Even the sausages were cooked to a standard that a crematorium would be happy with.

Cheesey garlic bread was under cooked and soggy.

Asked the waitress to see the manager but she returned and said he did not have time to see us!!!!

The only consolation here was there was a live Jazz band on hence the score of 1.

I don't think I saw any of the staff look happy all evening (bar or waiting staff).

This pub is now best avoided if you want to eat.
