The Queens Head, Henley-On-Thames

Since taking over and reverting it to The Queens Head (a name that's been in the town for generations) Scouse, and not forgetting Catherine, has transformed The Queens into probably the only pub in town with a bit of atmosphere. The over 21's policy is a shrewd move and although it's only been open a matter of weeks, people are returning to a well loved pub. There has been a large investment in decor which will be added to over the next few weeks, but it already has the feel of a familiar friend returned. Scouse has said that he is always open to ideas, theme/charity nights, barbecues, anything that the punter wants. It really is refreshing to hear somebody taking note and actually giving the public what they want. The bar food is excellent and plans are under way to offer a full menu soon. Along with the beers on offer, I can recommend the coffee and panninis, sold through the day. This pub is thoroughly recommended and a warm welcome is guaranteed.
