The Thomas Hardye, Dorchester

Now reopened as "The Thomas Hardye". Very much food orientated. TV's, pool tables, dart boards all removed. Pub quiz still happens on a tuesday. A lot of pubs in Dorchester are heading in the same direction because of the Eldridge Pope brewery takeover by one of the wealthiest men in England (forget his name). Various are set to close and be refurbished to compete with the Wetherspoon stranglehold!

The Thimble Inn, Piddlehinton

Lovely pub, nice staff and perfect food - almost on the gourmet side of pub food. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The whole of the Piddle Valley is idylic.

The Half Moon, Stepney Green

My uni haunt. Not bad inside, pity that the newer half of the pub isn't completely non-smoking. Staff are either really good or shit. Food is what you expect from wetherspoons. Nearly always a problem with our food but being students we just get on and eat it!!
