The Gardeners Arms, Moston

Very poor. Unfriendly. Smelt as soon as you walked in the door. Had real ale but was of a poor taste and standard. Was on a pub crawl around Moston and only stayed for 20 mins. Not worth a visit.

The Toy Box, Moston

Well, i went out with several friends for a few beverages on Saturday 29th. One of the guys suggested we tried the Toybox (strange name but hey ho). Most of our group thought the place had closed down.
We arrived around 6pm and had to wait 10 - 15 minutes to be seated as the whole place was heaving. This did not bother us as we were out for the day and we tried their lagers, beers and ciders whilst we waited. I had a pint of Becks which was well looked after and other guys said the same about their choice of Draught (Boddies, J Smiths and Budweiser) After our Meal which was superb by the way we decided (on the advice of Callum behind the bar to try out Lal Toofan (indian Beer). I ordered 6 pints and was shocked when i was told it would be £12 !! Thats £2 a pint. It was quite pallitable and we stayed for over 3 hours before trying the Gardners Arms down the road, which was well below the standard at this establishment.
It says it all really as we only popped in for food and stayed for 3 hours.
