The Boars Head, Brecon

we called in this pub on a off chance after a long dog walk, as we were informed dog's are welcome in this pub, (unlike others in the town), hungry and thirsty we wanted a meal and a pint. We found the real ale choice more than enough and the beer temperature was just right, there is a pub garden to sit in, overlooking the river, and a varied standard food menu plus a specials board. We ordered off the specials board, and were overwhelmed by the quantity and flavour. Wow what a chef. The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly and so were the local customers. We wouldnt hesitate in recommending this pub to anyone who wants a good pint, a nice plate full of home cooked food, and a happy conversation to go with it.
