Sad to report the Blue has been closed for around a year now. Plans to demolish the building and construct housing in its place are currently (June 2009) before the planning authority.

My "local" whenever I'm in Dublin, which admittedly isn't often enough. Great pint, good service, warm and friendly, good conversation and, importantly, slightly off the tourist track.

The Wickbourne Swan, Wick
As of June 2009 the Swan is still closed. Doubtful whether it has any future as a pub.
