The Plough Inn, Upper Boddington

My daughter Sophie and I stayed at the Plough for 2 nights on the 30/31st July. We were recommended by Washbrook Farm Equestrian at Aston Le Walls. We did not know what to expect, but it was absolutely fantastic! The staff are all amazing! Full of enthusiasm and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and we had a double plus a single bed! There was a ceiling fan which was much needed after a hot day with horseys!! The beds were very very comfy too. Breakfast on the first day was cooked by Jen. She was so nervous that her breakfast would not be up to the standard of Chef! She should not have worried it was fantastic and just what we needed to keep us going through the day! We were invited out on the first evening but did book a table for the second. It was fish night as are most Wednesdays. I thought it would be fish and chips but I was so wrong! You could have fish and chips but you could also order Lobster in advance for a very reasonable price. There was a fantastic paella but I opted for the lemon sole with asparagus sauce new potatoes and salad. It was absolutely fantastic. I had cheeseboard for dessert which was a wonderful feast of delicious cheeses and chutney. I just wish I had a bigger appetite! Breakfast was cooked by chef the next day and was fantastic too but Jen is not far behind!!!! We absolutely loved our stay and we will definitely be back. We cannot recommend the Plough enough for its cleanliness, warm and welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food and wine. Well done guys and keep up the good work. xxxxx
