The Parrot Inn, Forest Green
AS I'm from Yorkshire where we have really great gastropubs (not what we call them) the bar is pretty high. Today at a Summer Friday lunchtime we rocked up. Husband never does fish but loves it here and my lamb was the best I've had. Service good given the number of people, and also bearing in mind it's cooked from fresh food and meal turned up when expected. No noisy clientele despite being next to a yummy mummy table. Bought a loaf in the shop. Hate cheese sandwiches but this bread demands it and I ate every crumb despite my lovely lunch.
