The Coombe Cellars Devon, Coombe in Teignhead

I stumbled on this site whilst searching for something else and have been amazed by the reviews I've read, so much in fact that I've registered just to say how much I enjoyed my visit there this evening. The minute my husband and I walked in we were impressed with the stylish decor and atmosphere. We were immediately welcomed, shown to a lovely table overlooking the river and quickly served. The food was obviously freshly cooked and there was no problem with portion size or temperature. I can't understand why we need every "pub" to have "nugget 'n chips" and a soft play area before we think it's any good. Isn't there room for different styles? It is very different from before, not an obvious "fun house for Kids"(and before you think I haven't got kids, you're wrong), but would it hurt the kids to eat real food for a change!
We really had a pleasant evening and my husband is hoping to take his office there over the Christmas period.
Go on, give it a try - it was well worth it!
