The Shakespeare's Head, Leicester
agree with other comments beer reasonable, pub cheap and cheerful, i have been in quite a few times and always found the place empty, but the staff always seem pleased maybe thats due to them drinking while serving. only thing i found lacking was the landlady, who i never saw and somemore clients and atmosphere, saying that if all you want is a quick alright pint then this is the place to go, but not a place to stop lng in

The Ship Inn, Leicester
tried the ship inn only a couple of days ago,its amazing how two pubs from the same brewery can differ, the reason why i went to the ship is because a drinker from the shakespeares head suggested i compare the two mentioned pubs,he tried to tell me that the ship inn was a better pub and boy was he right. the beer was most quaffable and the atmosphere was almost over welcoming, the landlord and his wife elaine , i think that was her name were most inviting and even though there was only a few people in it certainly had more atmosphere than a empty shakespeares head. this is a place you could get used to and if you want to have a couple of decent pints in a lovely pub then this is the place to go even if it is off the beaten track. thanks for a couple of great nights and to the drinker in the shakespeares head thanks for your suggestion
