The Clock House, East Dulwich

What a delightful, uncomplicated place.

Had what I can only describe as the best burger in ages! Nice homemade chips too. Nice range of beers, not too pricey, comparatively. Staff were very friendly and service was efficient.

Will definately be returning.

The Uplands Bar and Brasserie, East Dulwich

What a truly dreadful place! I would describe it as Spartan, except that Spartan can be synonomous with clean. Which this isn't. Agaisnt my better judgement, a friend and I did order food, simple lunchtime snacks.

Well.

Doritos welded with cheese, insipid salsa, sour cream that if churned for five minutes would produce Wedneslydale. umm.
The "Steak Heaven" wasn't at all bad, except for the minor mishap of the steak being roast lamb, presumably from sunday. This was Wednesday.

I'm not a food snob at all, but I do expect the food I order to be from the species I specify.

Avoid.
