The Old Kings Head, Hoxton
I have recently found this little gem which is tucked away behind curtain road, it's a pleasant pub that's been recently refurbished but they have managed to hold onto that traditional pub feel which is hard to come by.
From entering you can clearly see this pub is a family run pub with friendly staff who tended to my every need. They serve a wide range of beers, ales, wines and sprirt's and the prices are really reasonable which is another thing that's hard to come by in the area of late.
I decided to visit this pub at lunch time which was a good move on my part as this was the best pub lunch I have had in a long time. The sandwiches are amazing fresh crusty white bread and huge, I could just about get my teeth into it and a fish finger sandwich on the menu always a must.
All in all a good little find.
They have a sign up saying open Saturday for sport so i'm gonna take myself down for the fottie and check it out...
