Duke of York, Dover

I had the misfortune of having a meal here in November of 2009. We were stopping in the attached Premier Inn Hotel which was great!. Went to the pub for our evening meal. The pub was filthy with stacks of plates not cleared from the tables and there was only one member of staff behind the bar who apologised and said that they were short staffed (Understatement). Asked for a pint of real ale but they had run out. This was a Friday night!. The food took nearly an hour and half to arrive and when my mixed grill arrived it was cold, the steak was over cooked and I had asked for a rare steak. Everyone in my party was unhappy with there meal. Other people in the pub were also complaining about the food and the service. When we left the table next to ours still had all the dirty plates, glass ect on it that were there when we arrived two hours early. This pub is only a few hundred yards from Dover port. What the French must think of this feeble excuse for a Pub/restaurant, I hate to think
