The Yacht, Greenwich

Disappointing. I am aware that Taylor & Walker have increased there beer prices.
This pub has been on a downward spiral for well over a year.
The increase in prices can't help. I had an okay pint of ferrymans gold but for £4.05!!!
The head of the pint (and all I seen being served was huge).
I asked for it to be topped up and was met with some irritation.
This was strange as the pub only had 4 people in in on a Sat afternoon (not like they were busy).
Make toilets were ROTTEN and stank of stale urine.
I didn't try the food so can't comment.

My main gripe is the price and the (on going) battle to have a pint served how It should be ie at the customers discretion ie head or full pint.

I won't be back - even the cutty sark and the monopoly of Greenwich inc pubs charge less than £4. If the pint, service and pub was exceptional they may have (half a leg) to stand on!

Clearly the summer trade has died. Its time to rely on local trade. As a local - I (sadly) won't be back to this pub.

I agree with the many previous comments on the number of ale pumps.
There is choice but sadly (as mentioned) the ale drinkers are few and with this the beer suffers. I small but very irritating point - its NOT CHEAP. I had a little bit of a problem with
One of the barmaids who refused to top my pint up. The head was huge and she told me we always fill it up like this and that it was a full pint. I asked if the glass was oversized. She said no but repeated that it wads full pint (dispite the massive head).

I know pubs are suffering. I also know that tourists (of which I am not) get hit in the pocket for this kind of cost saving on the part of the pub. It just saddens me.

The beer was okay (sunbeam). I wouldn't make a diversion to here though.
