hmmm i have never been asked for i.d in a wetherspoons pub before now and on showing the manageress my licencees card, she refused me service!!!!! oh my god.... the woman behind the bar claimed to be in charge but has never heard of a personal licence before and doesn't have one. correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't that illegal?

the 'manageress' said that they don't need a personal licence as they have a premises licence. wow, that must be the first exception in Britain.

Dandillus, may i avert your attention to 'saxon_scoopers' review. This is one of the customers you talk about in your first review. Ned and the R.A.T.S. (Real Ale Tasting Society) are good friends and enjoy banter. i apologise that you were offended by the banter, but they were just having a bit of fun! It's great to feel like you can talk to customers like they are good friends, which we do a lot. The only pity is that you aren't one of them!
