I was appreciative to get a personal and apologetic message from the Manager of this pub following my recent visit here.

The Mucky Pup definitely has its loyal locals and it was a shame that my experience was tainted by one individual. Hopefully, now this has been addressed, the service will match the good buzz of this place.

Went here last night for the first time and have never been spoken to so RUDELY by someone behind a bar. Had already waited 20 minutes, and then when the barman took my order he started a countdown '1,2,3' - basically I had to give my order in his time otherwise he was going to move on. A friend walked in halfway through my order so I requested an additional drink and the barman said 'No', "you should have known what you were going to order. I'm not walking back round the bar for you. You've obviously never worked behind a bar before - I need a toilet break and a cigarette and you clearly have no sensibility.' I was stunned and really quite offended.

Obviously either the management need to get more staff behind the bar to stop this occurring ,or change the team, as that's clearly not how a pub should operate.

If you've got time to kill, and don't mind waiting ages for a drink, go for your life. Personally, I'd rather go somewhere where they want you to come in and enjoy a pint with your friends on a Friday night.
