Greyhound, Bengeo

This is a classic local pub in Bengeo. The beer is excellent, as one would expect from a McMullen pub less than a mile from the brewery, but that is about it. It would appear that the tennants and the regulars are both happy to maintain the status quo.

The White Horse, Hertford

This pub is a masterpiece. If you could bottle it, you could make a fortune selling pure britsh cultural history. I have been maybe once amonth over the last 10 years and have never once had anything but a perfect pint. Been to many a fine Beer Festival as well, although like the other reviewers, hugely disappointed that the local council banned drinking outside the pub and in the castle grounds just opposite.

The Trader, Old Street

Been going to this pub now for about 4 years on and off and I have never had a bad evening. The landlord and his wife are excellent fun, entertaining and run a great city boozer. The food is good & quick and the atmosphere for big football matches is superb.

Great pub, great beer, great landlord - what more can you want.
