The Jolly Sailor, Burseldon

Being pretty local we have tried this pub on several occasions as the location is lovely. Each time we have been disappointed. The food is OK but over-priced for what it is and the service is dreadful. Dirty glasses, long wait for food orders, long waits at the bar. We had to wait 45 minutes last time to be told that the dish I had ordered was not available. After choosing a second dish and waiting a further 15 minutes we were told again that this wasn't available either. At the third attempt we did finally get a meal but what started out as a quick evening meal (on a fairly quiet night) turned into an ordeal. They need to try much harder!!
