The Dispensary, Liverpool

In my experience, the Dispensary is head and shoulders above its local competitors in terms of ale quality. There's always a good range on offer which is well looked after, I have never had a problem with the beer here.

The little things make all the difference though, from the flawlessly polished brass pumps to the attention to detail of the staff when pouring pints, it all makes for a great atmosphere.

As for Dave, I think he does a great job, he is always chatty and, to me at least, polite, and he should be allowed to run his pub his way. It's not easy working in a city centre pub (speaking from experience), as you get a lot of undesirables through the door. The scum-of-the-earth tend to congregate around this part of town especially, and why should any landlord or employee have to put up with that under their roof?
