The Rambler Country House, Edale

Terrible place. Visited with friends last night.

Tried to order food from a rude, mute bar man. We tried ordering one dish, to be told it was sold out. Tired another, same problem. We asked if anything else was sold out to be told it wasn't. Next dish we ordered - sold out! So we resorted to 6 chip butties - confirming with the lad that this would constitute chips in a breadbun. When they came, it was just chips - no bread. When we commented, the manageress flew off the handle, told us we were rude and we couldn't have ordered chip butties as they don't sell them. Some lad then marched out of the pub, swore at us (calling us "effing civvies" for some reason) before getting dragged back inside by the dragon of a manageress. Really quite bizarre!

Basically, I'd avoid this place like the plague. Terrible, rude, inefficient service and agressive staff. Horrible.
