The Enterprise, Holborn

I was talking to my college at work and they said I should see the �beer in the evening� review site and see what some people were saying about my favourite pub in Holborn. I was horrified. Therefore I thought I would say something about this place as a pub that I love going to and have for a number of years.

They seem to have a good sense in the mood of the people. If you go in early in the week then the music is subdued (for when we have to work the rest of the week) and on Friday when we want to let your hair down then The Enterprise is the place to go. (If you do not want to let your hair down I suggest that you should go to a number of pubs in the area that do not play music. (e.g. A Weatherspoon or home).

When I go there I do like a drop or two� of red wine and unlike andrea01 I am not a �big red wine drinker� however the pub has a nice range of wine (my favourite is the Rioja). I have never tied the house red wine and therefore could not comment on this but with a very nice wine list why bother! (unless you are a cheapskate).

With regards to beer I am not an expert but the guys that I work with do find that the bitter that they serve are good and they tell me that the pints are good with the �right amount of head (I not sure that they are kidding with me sometimes!)

Sometimes you go in there on Thursday/Friday night and think that you are never going to get served because the bar is busy, but always somebody from the staff asks �Are you being served� over the head of the people in front of you, and therefore the management have the right amount of staff for right day, in my opinion.
